VIRTUE TRANSMUTES FEAR INTO LOVE
Edge, August 2000
By Jessie E. Ayani
It doesn't take much reflection to realize that most of the "civilized" world operates through fear-based belief systems. The major products of these systems are governments with their laws, rules and regulations and penalties for not complying, organized religions, educational systems, many commercial and corporate systems, competitive sports, and, of course, crime - to name a few. It is little wonder that we have assembled personal realities based on fear as well.
Believing for millenniums that the masses are unable to survive without strict control - obvious and subliminal - institutions and individuals in power have arrived at a peculiar time in history. The masses are waking up, and in the realization that we have been in something like a coma our entire lives we are finding ways to regain the power that has been lost to us. We do not mean power as it has been wielded previously, but a calm, deep knowingness of our own purpose here on Earth. Couple this with a shiny new definition of service and you have a spiritual revolution taking place.
SERVICE
What is service anyway? In the past it has looked like sacrifice for others - to the point of giving your life away - look what Jesus did after all! We have been taught that this is good and noble, that it will prepare a soft bed for us in heaven, and that suffering is somehow Divine. If you recognize these as beliefs that no longer work for you, read on. Those beliefs reflect the negativity that has been imposed on us.
True service is service to oneself. Some of us need to overcome the rising fear of selfishness just to be able to think about that statement. We are not speaking of self-gratification, feeding the desire body, but of really caring how our spiritual work integrates into our everyday lives. It means paying attention to ourselves in a new way. We are talking about our soul's purpose - the mission we came to complete and the focus we need to complete it. That is service.
There is no need to worry about what other people are doing or to compare them with ourselves in any way. If your husband does not appear to be doing his spiritual work, you can waste a lot of your energy trying to change that or you can allow his path to unfold in its own way and time while you support him. The former choice serves no one while the latter choice, which asks that you concern yourself only with your own work, serves everyone. The former choice is fear-based while the later is love-based.
Anyone seriously walking a path to enlightenment realizes, at some point, that it is a full time job. Trying to balance it with an everyday job that doesn't support your spiritual path is frustrating. The job that is our true soul's purpose will complement and support enlightenment in every way. You will know when it happens to you because it is a perfect fit and allows all of your talents to be cultivated and used. It will grow and evolve as you do. Whatever it is, it is also your service.
When these two important aspects of our lives - the path and the work - come together we grow in our service. If we allow ourselves to be informed more by virtue, that which is divinely inspired, rather than culture, we can make a great difference in the world. Our only real work in this life is to achieve our own enlightenment and to use our unfolding gifts for the highest good of all. If we can, in that achievement, inspire others to do likewise, what greater service is there?
A VIRTUAL BRIDGE FROM FEAR TO LOVE
There are a number of virtues that come to mind when we ponder how fear might be transformed into love - keeping in mind that the only place this needs to happen is in our own hearts. The first of these is acceptance, which speaks to non-judgment as a form of service. We fear that which is different from ourselves, our version of reality, and what the culture might accept. How much easier it would be to accept the diversity that exists, and will not change, as a reflection of God. Judgment is an enormous waste of mental energy that diverts our focus from our own work to everyone else's.
Our second virtue is surrender - letting go of the fear and the control that accompanies it. This is a big one for some of us. Surrender to what? How about surrendering to the Divine Plan? Each of our soul's put a plan together for this life before we incarnated. The really rewarding part of the spiritual path is locking into this Divine flow of magic in our lives. It is also the most frightening part of the path as well, being generally unrelated to what society advocates.
Surrender happens a step at a time. Life tests each step for related fear or control, and then the next step can be taken. Related to each step of surrendering fear is the act of transforming the fear-based beliefs that hold us back. Once we have been able to let go of them, incorporating love-based beliefs instead, our reality begins shifting more towards love.
Another important aspect of surrender is letting go of the ties that bind us to others. If our relationships are muddled with agendas, resentments, and attachments of any kind, we cannot be autonomous. Autonomy is true personal power - knowing who we are, why we are here, and becoming a self-contained wizard to accomplish our mission. We cannot do this if we have half our luminous field in other people's chakras. Every time we let go, we gain more power.
Say, for example, that you have an enormous fear of not having enough food, money, friends or love to have a happy life. These fears causes you to hoard food and overeat, to overwork in order to have that cushion of comfort in the bank, and to cling to family and friends even if they are abusive. Looking back at your childhood you understand that your parents lived through the great depression and continually reinforced the obvious - that there was not enough. Just understanding this can open a door, but actually changing that core belief moves you into a whole new reality - a reality of plenty.
When reality shifts and you no longer need to hoard or depend on others you can see clearly that your attachments to food, money and other people were based on fear. This caused you to energetically hang on to them by dispersing your own luminous field into theirs. Pulling these filaments of light back into your field is the art of empowerment. Conversely, you may need to pull other people's filaments from your field. When all of your light is your own and no one else is in your field, you are autonomous - and, by the way, awesome.
Lastly, we cannot cross the bridge from fear to love without trust. In fact, both surrender and acceptance require trust - trust in ourselves, trust in others, trust that there is an unfolding Divine Plan. Though waning prior to that time, trust, like magic, is something we lost completely during the Dark Ages. As if locked up for safekeeping, love was no longer a part of our world. It is time to trust again, and with that key of trust unlock the doors of love.
LOVE AS A FORCE
Will there be fear in the fifth dimension? Some say not. Shaman's see fear as the absence of love, and love as the frequency of the fifth dimension - Christ Consciousness. However, being practical, let's understand that there is a natural fear that we would not want to lose. This natural fear has to do with instincts and warnings about people and situations that are potentially harmful. Learning to read fear as an energetic message is valuable. Allowing it to be a force in our lives is the mistake. Arriving at a place where we can regard fear as an energetic message is a high level of attainment. An even higher level would be to receive the message and transmute it with love.
For the most part, we don't know love without attachment. That is conditional love. We have few examples of unconditional love beyond that instinctual love of parents for their newborn, the heroic love of one who gives his life for another without pondering it for a second, and, of course, the love that Jesus embodied. As soon as the parent has a thought about the baby's future, the love becomes attached. If the hero contemplates a purple cross for one nanosecond, the love is attached.
Jesus managed to adopt unconditional love as a lifestyle, gifting us a glimpse of the fifth dimension 2000 years ago. In the Andes, there is a word for such love - munay. It is not a concept but a power - the power of love. Munay was what Jesus had pouring forth from his sacred heart. With this love he transmuted fear on all levels. He allowed the Divine Plan to unfold in complete surrender at the same time allowing himself to express emotion freely. He felt fear, then surrendered to love. He was in the world but not of the world. He empowered us completely to bring this level of surrender into our own lives to support our callings and to be of service. It is high magic.

THE POWER OF THE AUTHENTIC MAN - TO MANIFEST THE FUTURE
Navigating Humanity Towards Higher Consciousness
Edge, November 1999
By Jessie Ayani
Through the wisdom of anthropologist Joseph Campbell, I was, long ago, introduced to the concept that we are a people without a myth, without a future. Compound this with the fact that we are still trapped in the archetypal patterns of a strangely abusive Greek and Roman pantheon of gods, and it looks even worse than no future - no present. My life work has brought me to remember that the women hold the key to any future we might have for all aboriginal cultures on the earth honor the women as they who can dream the future.
Currently, my work involves reawakening women to the power of dreaming. Our work has been focused upon clearing ourselves so that we might hold the frequencies of the next dimension. We are clearing patterns of jealousy, distrust and fearfulness that we have held collectively throughout the era of the patriarchy. We are clearing patterns of control, manipulation, and lack of self worth that were born out of the necessary demise of the goddess cults. We have devoted considerable time to changing archetypal patterns within ourselves and within the collective consciousness of all women. The next phase of our work is about to begin - bringing forth the dream of the golden cities. We must first bring them forth within our own hearts by connecting to the higher dimensional aspects of ourselves that have always resided in those golden cities. It is a process of remembering. Then we can bring that dream forward for humanity knowing how to anchor it within.
What becomes immediately clear to all of us, as we engage this process, is that it is not the task of women to manifest that future which we dream. Our task is to provide the road map, the cartography, the dream, and to deliver it to the beloved men, who will begin their personal and collective work to manifest that dream. Of course, that process begins within their hearts and with the changing of archetypal patterns that hold men back from self-realization as well. We are looking at a beautiful and productive co-creative process between conscious men and women. Yes, the goddess is returning. She needs to return, but she will not be taking over. Co-creation is the next step for human consciousness.
BUILDING THE FUTURE
The stone and mortar of the ancient mystery schools have been replaced with built-in obsolescence. Perhaps that is the most poignant metaphor we have for our culture - a flash in the pan future. Where did we go wrong? It seems that we became weary or were mesmerized and fell asleep. Whatever the reason, our collective amnesia holds us in cycles that prevent us from becoming enlightened - from using the fullness of our gifts and wisdom to advance human
consciousness.
The golden cities exist in the 5th dimension. The 5th dimension isn't in some other galaxy. It's right here, all around us. In the gospel of Thomas, Jesus is quoted as saying "the kingdom of heaven is spread upon the earth and men do not see it". 5th dimension is Christ Consciousness, the love frequency, being in the soul. That means being in bliss because what you are doing is your soul's calling, your soul's longing and its purpose.
We can be in the 5th dimension any time we choose to be there. However, to permanently anchor the 5th we must first transit through the 4th dimension, the unconscious, and manifest the higher aspects of that dimension; wisdom, inner truth, higher self and our light bodies. This brings the unconscious into consciousness at the same time allowing us to come into the gifts that await us when we create that bridge. To build that bridge is the work of owning our darkness, forgiving ourselves, letting go of it all, clearing, clearing, clearing, on all levels of our being. It can take a lifetime, years, or five minutes depending on the path of our soul.
When we change core beliefs, we change our reality, for core beliefs are what shape our reality. That is how we can build the bridge on a personal and a collective level. When men chose to believe in the power of the women's dream, they will find their own power to manifest it. It will mean healing trust issues and letting go of ways that our culture has come to measure success. It will entail embracing happiness and fulfillment while releasing frustration and depression. Once you get the hang of it, changing your reality becomes a way of life that allows you to embrace the qualities of detachment and fearlessness that are the hallmarks of the magician, the shapeshifter.
MASCULINE ARCHETYPAL PATTERNS
The most difficult task awaiting both women and men is the transformation of archetypal patterns, collectively held core beliefs, which have kept us asleep for millennium. Before we can change them, it is necessary to recognize them and own them within ourselves. In the course of researching the feminine archetypes, I have been introduced to many of the male archetypal patterns that are being manifested from the masculine collective unconscious.
For instance, the archetype of Zeus/Jupiter, and its more recent manifestation as Don Juan, is a seducer and romancer of the feminine trapped in a collective fear that the feminine holds the power to devour him. This fear was established long ago, when the year king was sacrificed by the ancient goddess cults as an offering to Mother Earth, the great goddess. For men, the resulting patterns are numerous shallow relationships, the machismo attitude that prevails in much of the western world, and the man who enters a relationship fearing the attainment of god-realization which comes through mutual surrender to the partner in a deeply committed love. It is a mask but a powerful one for the loss of life is a primal fear. This archetype projected that unwholesome fear of powerful women through the patriarchs of the church to bring on and sustain the Holy Inquisition for hundreds of years.
You may not be aware that you hold this fear, but in the unconscious it is there for you if you have chosen a male incarnation. Don Juan may not be a pattern that you have acted out in your life, but aspects of this pattern can not have escaped you. That is the nature of archetypes. Another archetypal pattern for men is the competitor, the one who needs to win at everything. This archetype has been the progenitor of the hierarchical systems of power that prevail over most of the civilized world. Mars offers a very destructive warrior archetype, whereas Merlin gives us the magician who has lost his power, perhaps through abusing it, resulting in the loss of Camelot for everyone. You can imagine that this myth gives us a tenacious collectively held fear of failure. Our concept of king has strayed enormously from that of the original messianic bloodline of the grail wherein the anointed king upheld the grail codes of true service to the people.
We are a conglomerate of archetypes which are, for the most part, unrecognized. Oblivion is the nature of amnesia. These distorted myths have been set in place to handicap us. If we do not recognize and transform them, we remain powerless and unenlightened. If we are willing to embrace a new reality by changing them, we are on our way to the 5th dimension. Women and men who have cleared away the constrictions of rigidly and unconsiously held core beliefs are the hope of the future, the dreamers and the navigators towards higher dimensional realities.
CREATING NEW MYTH - BIRTH OF THE JEDI KNIGHTS
Did you know that George Lucas and Joseph Campbell were good friends? This comes as no surprise to those who have truly understood the concepts Lucas has brought forth in the Star Wars series. Lucas has understood the power of myth and the need to create new mythic archetypes to lift us, especially men, out of the amnesia. His archetypal portrayals of women are not as well crafted although they are inspiring. What is Lucas trying to accomplish with the Jedi Knights? It is a complex but important doorway to the future.
Our concept of the warrior must shift to pop us out of 3-D reality into realities of higher frequency. We will never lose our archetype of the warrior; it is part of the landscape of the human psyche, but aren't we ready to part with the barbaric behavior we have inherited from our ancestors? The archetypal patterning of the warrior, the brutish and abusive Attila the Hun, the Roman gladiators, medieval knights, soldiers, the warlords and even the new warriors of the men's movement will not work in 5th dimension. All of the manifestations of this archetype, so graphically portrayed for us on film, the news and everyday life, are born out of a false sense of courage that has, in no way, eliminated the deep fear that drives the warrior to conquer and kill.
Lucas is presenting us with an archetype that will work in higher dimensions, an archetype with a heart, a truly authentic man. The only mythic characters that have come close to this archetype have been the grail knights, the knights of Arthur's round table. However there were flaws in the round table that failed the evolution of human consciousness and a romanticism that could not possible serve us now.
So, who are the Jedi Knights? The Jedi are spiritual warriors dedicated to maintaining peace in the galaxies. They poke holes in the egos of the powerful and controlling- those who seek personal gain at the expense of others. They try to bring things into balance wherever they find imbalance. These are the kind of high ideals that our armed forces and government would like us to believe they embrace, but the veil of this deception is thin. What is different about the Jedi is their integrity. They are trained to be impeccable and to exercise a high degree of discernment - what I perceive as a 6th sense, or knowingness, that allows them to chose right action in the moment. They must be focused in the "Now" at all times. How different our lives would be if we could attain this degree of focus. They are a bit like the Shaolin priests of old China in that respect - using force only when it is used towards them, choosing every possible alternative to harming another.
We have a spiritual warrior with high ideals, integrity and wisdom. What else does a Jedi represent? He is a master magician, performing feats beyond human comprehension. Here is a man without limitations, fears, or judgments who holds himself in a shimmer of mystery and magic. He is vulnerable in a human way, but his ethics and intent are invincible. He is aware of his own ego and is trained to move outside of it to accomplish his mission. In addition to these qualities, he is tender, willing to be in his feelings and to share them with men and women alike. Trust me when I tell you he would be one popular man with the women I know!
Lucas has also portrayed a bigger picture, the perennial and cosmic battle of light and dark. We interpret "may the Force be with you" to imply that the Jedi work on behalf of the good guys. I suggest to you that we are interpreting that according to core beliefs that are based on religious dogmas. It is not what Lucas has in mind at all. The gifted child, Anakin Skywalker, trained as a Jedi, becomes the archetype of darkness, Darth Vader, when he succumbs to the seduction of power and ego. Darth Vader is the father of Princess Leah and Luke Skywalker who portray the light. This is exactly the cosmology of the Taoists as symbolized by the yin/yang. In that symbology, the darkness is constantly birthing the light as the light is birthing the darkness. The darkness contains the light even as the light contains the darkness. Lucas is offering us an old but profound cosmological option. Can we take him up on it?
What is dark and what is light? What is good and what is evil? They are opposing forces. The Force contains them both. Is there anywhere in the universe free of these opposing forces? Only one place, the heart of God, the point of tranquillity. Until we are back home, in the heart of God, it might best suit our needs to accept that light and dark are used to keep things moving in the universe. It has been a disservice to our culture that we have adopted core beliefs about good and evil. If things were not moving through opposition, we would not be motivated to seek the stillness in the heart of God. So lifetime after lifetime, we return to play the roles of light and dark - to keep things moving, for the challenge of the Jedi Knight is to give all beings the opportunity, through freedom and acceptance, to find God within themselves.
It was highly significant that our Jedi Knight was not victorious in his fight with the darkness in the most recent film and that his convictions about the training of Anakin Skywalker spawned the era of Darth Vader which moved a lot of energy in the galaxies. There are no mistakes. We need to bust our myths about the devil and evil in every way they are portrayed. Lets admit that we all contain the light and the dark and move into integrity with our lives. The Jedi provide us with a new warrior archetype, one that is being instilled in the unconscious of all those who have embraced the message. In time, it will replace warn-out archetypes as young men make choices between the old and new myth. This is how new myth making occurs. It is heart-warming to know that we are birthing archetypal transformation right here, right now.
The warrior is only one of the major male archetypes. I challenge you to identify the others and create options that will serve us in the future, and I would appreciate hearing about them. Let's keep in mind that even though the Jedi are our warriors' doorway right now, we need, above all, to learn flexibility and detachment in our myth-making. We don't want to get stuck in the Jedi concept of the warrior either or we will find ourselves sound asleep again albeit at a slightly higher frequency than the last 4000 years. From this point on, we need to allow the myth we create to evolve and mutate as a reflection of the expansion of human consciousness.
Beloved men, may you find the love and support you need to follow your bliss, to find the path of your soul. May you take up the challenge of manifesting the dream of the future for humanity, and may the Force be with you.

SISTERHOOD OF THE SUN
Awakening the Memory of our Collective Dream
by Jessie E. Ayani Ph.D.
Ancient Memories...
We stand at an altar before the great golden disc of the sun. The setting
sun sends radiant light beams through the open windows of the temple. The
reflection of the sun's rays as they hit the golden solar disc sends high
frequency light into our luminous fields raising our vibration to that of
the sun. We are, for that moment, one with the solar legacy brought to
earth by the star beings. The sun is a star - our star. We do not worship
the sun, we respect its power and flourish in its strength and wisdom. The
sun is our father as earth is our mother. We are both sun and earth within
- father and mother within.
We are in the temple to take our final vows as a priestess of the sun. We
are willing to put the mission of our starry origins, the awakening and
planetary ascension of the earth, above all our desires. There are only a
few of us taking the vows, but our avowed sisters file into the temple
behind us and we feel the strength of a great lineage of light. They begin
to chant with low voices and soon the voices are rippling like water over
rock, rising and falling, accompanied by drum beat, rattle, clacking bones
and dancing flute.
The women continue until the full disc of the setting sun has fired the
golden solar disc with cosmic light. We are all entranced, singing and
moving in joy and ecstasy. We move from the rhythm of the womb to the
rhythm of the heart, sending an expansive love energy out to the earth and
all her people. We are in the frequency of our mission and we are in bliss
because our purpose is fulfilled.
At this hour of power, we take our vows before the high priestess and our
sisters. Dancing and singing into the night in the fullness of
God-frequency, we take our places in the most ancient lineage on the earth,
the lineage of the codes of light, the priestesses of Annu, the sun. We are
part of a large group soul committed to holding consciousness, or frequency,
on the planet. Whatever else we do in our lives, the mission takes priority
for we only come to serve the mother in her quest to become a star herself.
The full moon rises, shining her light through the eastern windows of the
temple. She is, this night, a complete reflection of the sun. In future
times our secret sisterhood will become outwardly associated with the moon
to protect us from the patriarchal leadership which will pretend to hold
dominion of the sun. Those who hold the lineage of light will not be lured
into moon goddess worship, but will respect the moon as we respect all
mirrors in our lives. She brings light into the darkness even as those we
call to assist our growth by mirroring our own density bring conscious light
into our own interior world of shadows.
We are the women dreamers - those who shape reality. Yes, there are those
men who understand our mission. They support and protect us. They are the
magi, the brotherhood of magicians who are masters of energy and intent. We
have always worked together to bring forth higher consciousness - not just
upon earth, but in many star-seedings in all galaxies. We are held by no
limitations so long as we remain conscious of our mission. If we forget, we
are lost.
The Awakening...
Many millennia have passed since those days of conscious temple life. The
lineage has incarnated in great numbers to assist the shift in planetary
frequency that we are now experiencing. The difficulty has been that during
the passage of time this ancient lineage of the sun has lost conscious
knowledge of the sacred duty and collective vision that we have always
shared. The point from which all people perceive reality has shifted
enormously since that time. People have been made to believe that God can
not be accessed directly, that God judges and has opinions about human
behavior, and that God is male.
God, the supreme love energy of creation, is far beyond form, gender, and
the emotional and mental characteristics we like to attribute to "Him". Our
very concept of God blocks our access to this supreme energy. It is that
concept, forged into our consciousness by the patriarchy, that makes us
compete with one another, hurt one another and otherwise fail to see the God
in one another. Our point of perception has narrowed into something very
ego-centered and fearful. It is that concept of God that gradually eroded
the integrity of the Sisterhood of the Sun and the Brotherhood of the Magi
and caused them to fall into forgetfulness.
Now, we who hold the codes of light are born unconscious of our soul
commitment to the mission. Yet, we hold the codes as we did in ancient
times. As we begin to explore the world outside the point from which we
have been perceiving reality, our memory begins to stir. When we enter
dimensions of expanded consciousness we feel the great stirring of the
mission, the yearning to fulfill our purpose, and we remember God. It is
initiation to open ourselves to this awareness. We touch a higher
consciousness and we can no longer perceive reality from that old
dysfunctional point. We and "it" have shifted. We have been "decoded"
into awareness.
The dreamer within us awakens- the one who can look out into the night sky
and remember the plan. This cosmic dreamer can shape reality with intent.
This priestess of the sun does so with impeccable intent for to do otherwise
would break the vows of the lineage. She knows how to manifest in her own
life and for the planet. She knows how to support and love other women.
She feels and responds to the deep yearning for enlightenment. She sees
and honors the God in all beings, including herself.
The Collective Vision...
There is a profoundly beautiful story unfolding right now. It is as moving
as the memories of the ancient times. Women are stepping out of the mist
that has been as a cloud upon the horizon of their vision. They are
releasing the old thought forms that have limited their abilities to shape
the future. They are reawakening the sisterhood through the shared
experience of God frequency - love.
These women are working together to call in the awakening of all women.
They are not the great warriors of women's liberation, but the gentle
dreamers who can shape a new reality with intent. They are working the grid
lines of the earth and the cosmos, opening the codes of light within
themselves and other women to the work at hand. They are moving in an
energy of love, compassion, complete forgiveness and surrender. They are
finding fulfillment and purpose in a once bleak landscape.
This is true liberation - of body, soul, and spirit. It is filled with
hope and rides on the frequency of God's grace. They are the shamans and
the priestesses, moving within the protective energies of the magi who, both
incarnate and ascended, have continually guarded the lineage of light. As
this movement grows, the men will come forth into their true destiny as
well, since earth calls them to action in her planetary ascension process.
Within this unfoldment of the Divine Plan, the status quo will exercise its
need to control one last time before it completes its transformation into
planetary guardianship.
This movement towards balance and planetary ascension begins with the
women. I have no doubt of this now. They are opening the doors to this
work all around the country. I see the Sisterhood of the Sun in a state of
rebirth and reawakening and the energy of it is joy. I see codes of light
opening within these women which will be released according to the Divine
Plan to uphold the ever-increasing waves of consciousness entering the
planet. We invite you to participate in this truly liberating process of
self-realization. We invite you to find the God within all beings,
including yourself.

QUESTING OUR SOUL'S PURPOSE
By Jessie E. Ayani Ph.D.
One of the deepest mysteries of each earthwalk is the calling of the soul
to its purpose, the divine plan for its journey into free will and through
the illusion of separation from God. Without the conscious memory of God,
we are led by parents, teachers and the collective into careers and often
values that foster further separation from the Divine.
When we begin our conscious journey home to soul connection we would pray
that it be smooth, short and to the point. However, for most who have
achieved this level of consciousness the learning curve of self-realization
has been staggering and the journey painful. At this time, when we are
being called to bring self-realization into the fifth dimension as part of
Earth's ascension process, how can we soul-connect quickly and without
traumatizing ourselves? Let us explore the journey home to soul, then look
at ways to facilitate it.
The Journey Home
Our soul is never far away from us. When we are babies, still close to
God, the soul is simply too great a light for the little body to anchor. As
we grow and attach ourselves more and more to the human experience, we lose,
along with our innocence, the yearning to be soul-connected. What does it
mean to be self-realized or soul-connected? It means that we know who we
are. It means we are engaged in our part of the divine plan, living our
divinity as well as our destiny.
By adulthood our souls long for union with us and continually prompt our
unconscious towards greater light. Doors open for us and golden
opportunities present themselves as the journey home begins to seep into our
consciousness. Soon we make the choice to consciously engage the process
and our true awakening begins. We are drawn to books, teachers and healers
who help us shape our personal spiritual path. We are constantly rocking
our world, shifting beliefs, ideas and values.
Each one of our quests is a unique unfoldment and profound healing process,
quite beyond comparison. Often a roller coaster ride filled with highs and
lows, the spiritual path eventually seeks center, a balance point where
self-realization is complete. From there, the journey leads to stillness,
tranquillity, the key to the flowering of the heart and union with God.
Finding Balance
Given the enormous amount of conflict inherent in the world we have
created, it is necessary to look first at the conflict within. For a long
time, the universe has been experiencing polarity or duality. Now mystics,
shamans and ordinary people are hearing a message from the Heart of God to
heal separation. All duality can shift into union. This cosmic imperative
is none other than the call home to God.
Within us there exists a polarity, a light and a dark, a masculine and a
feminine. We are a genetic composite of our parents but we often fail to
recognize that these bloodlines exist as an energetic force within us. It
is the cosmic battle of light and dark, right down to our DNA. If we were
not raised by enlightened parents, we have within us a triad of energetic
forces acting and reacting on this plane; the father, the mother and the
wounded child.
Our wounded child seeks wholeness from parents who seemed programmed to
fail us, and to our horror we come to realize that we have somehow managed
to replicate the best and worst of them within us. What looks like an
endless saga of therapy, inner child work and bloodline healing can really
be the key to finding balance. Since we have our fathers and mothers
imprinted within us, we can assume responsibility for our own parenting.
When we do this, we release limitations that we have placed upon our parents
and free them to their own ascension process.
This work is beyond forgiveness and requires almost no effort on our parts.
But we must be ready to do it, ready to let go of long held beliefs about
ourselves and our parents. To accomplish this is a step towards mastery on
our earthwalk. It opens us to work with our male and female polarities
beyond healing the child-parent conflict. Our child-self is nourished by
our own self-parenting until the divine child is birthed of the union of
male and female within. The fruit of our completeness is self-realization
and the anchoring of the soul.
The word realization implies an instantaneous awareness. It can take years
of work to open ourselves to that awareness or it can happen like a bolt of
lightening, swift, unexpected and profoundly life-changing. One portal for
this lightening bolt of self-realization is, in my experience, the
unconscious realm of the shamanic trance, because it can bypass this reality
and connect us directly with the divine.
Entering the Stillness
From a place of purity within the balance of the divine feminine and
masculine comes an opportunity to anchor the soul. It requires a certain
stillness, peace within a disquieting world. It might be called "holding
center". If this place of tranquillity can be held, the door will open for
the next great step in our spiritual unfoldment, the flowering of the heart.
How do we accomplish this?
The sense of balance within must enter the world. We learn to exercise the
divine masculine and feminine as needed to continually balance relationships
with others. This is many times more challenging than healing the imbalance
within because our intent to take this step brings those into our lives who
will challenge us. To hold center in the world it is necessary to overhaul
all the core beliefs that have formulated our judgments and opinions of
others.
To be in stillness requires that we embrace all people as whole God beings.
To criticize is to limit growth. When we hold those around us in the
highest possible vibration, whether it be compassion, trust, truth, or love,
we free them to the limitless possibilities of their own ascension. This is
unconditional love and that which it invites into our lives is grace.
It takes practice to see God in others, especially when they irritate us.
A first step is to acknowledge the irritation but also see that they are
mirroring an aspect of ourselves to us. If we take responsibility for this
unsavory aspect of self, they no longer have a need to irritate us. We
called them into our lives to teach us this lesson and help us raise our
frequency by accepting and healing our own impurities, our own indulgence in
the human dilemma.
A more advanced step might be to bypass the irritation and accept the
lessons of the mirror more fully. Recognizing and honoring this aspect of
self allows us to see ourselves in others, an act of healing separation.
This opens us to accepting and seeing God in the other individual.
Eventually, we aspire to the highest frequency of seeing only God in the
other person, without irritation and without the need for personal mirrors.
As we transit through the various stages of ascension activation (accessing
higher consciousness) the soul becomes more at home in the body. The soul
is anchored in our truth and as its presence grows stronger, it requires
that we be be in our truth at all times. If something is not compatible
with our truth, we will be motivated to change it. It may be our
employment, our marriage, our religious practices, what we read, watch and
listen to - anything. The soul is aligning us to our truth and to our
purpose.
Our soul purpose is our gift to the planet and her people. It could be
anything from laughter to celestial navigation. We will know when we are
doing it because it is aligned to our truth and it puts us in bliss. If we
are not happy with what we are doing, we are not in our truth. It seems
that the soul's purpose becomes much clearer to us as we reach the point of
stillness. When we can live in balance, holding center with the soul
anchoring us in our truth, the divine plan is less of a mystery to us.
The Flowering Of The Heart
When we are actively engaged in our soul's purpose, the experience of bliss
and peace allow the complete inner surrender needed to open our hearts.
Hearts open on a lot of levels, first to deeper levels of self-love. Our
child-self blossoms into a divine child whose gift is innocence and
God-remembrance. Babies see God in everything because babies remember that
they are God. If we can regain this level of purity, our hearts open
further to include all of creation. Seeing God in all things sends the
mirror of God back to us. This is an impersonal mirror we need never
outgrow. This is God-realization. We are all one.
The flowering of a heart space that can hold the essence and vibration of
Divine Love coincides with enlightenment. Our bodies of light, our own God
presence, descend into human form, bringing heaven to earth. We may turn to
the mystical union with God as a way of life, or use the light to serve the
earth and her people. This is compassion in action, the role of the
Bodhisattva.
We might spend many years in service to the heart before experiencing our
own God presence or we might experience God-union instantaneously through a
higher level portal of consciousness. When circumstances, such as the
experience of pure, high vibrational sound, permit us to hold the frequency
of higher consciousness accessed through the shamanic trance for an extended
time, a Divine portal can open and we may have the opportunity to
experience the vibration of God. We can bring this frequency back with us
and see it in all things including the eyes looking back at us in the
mirror.
Once we have experienced the ecstasy of God, the frequency of universal
love, we have little desire for that which hinders the flowering of the
heart. Though our path has been unique, we find that all paths merge into
the oneness at this point. We know God, but we have always known God. We
are God. We'd just forgotten.
